How do I find out more about the CoachCompass® system and whether the site license is right for my business?

First take a look at our site. You might even wish to take the diagnostic, the Hemispheres Assessment and download our FREE Intro to the CoachCompass® System . Still need more? Complete the Virtual Training. When you are ready, email us and we can call you regarding your specific needs.

How long does it take for a single site license to be granted?

For a single site license, you will want to successfully complete the intro course and allow us to customize your software for use online or at the desktop. This permits your customers to see your business name exclusively. Once your intro course is finished, your system can be up and running within a week. You can order a single site license completely online as long as you have a credit card or a business bank account. If you prefer to pay by check, we can make arrangements to mail your set-up materials to you.

How long does it take for a career center or multiple site license to be processed?

Once the acceptance contract has been signed and payment rendered, your technology will be customized, with training and implementation to be scheduled within the following 30-45 days. A career center or multiple site license must be arranged on site so as to allow us to do an infrastructure assessment of your business needs. Multiple sites may require a longer timeframe for implementation as based upon your unique needs, especially if the sites are geographically dispersed.

What do I get with a site license?

Training, technology and talent! You will have the ability to market your career services through our site, have your clients take the Hemispheres Assessment either online (our website or yours) and/or in person and receive the results within minutes. Most importantly, you will have a complete and consistent career delivery system that permits a highly successful and consistent conveyance of coaching services. Support for your site license is FREE for the 1 st year. Career Centers and Multiple Sites have their own dedicated training support to meet their needs.

Are there any extra charges for use of this in Canada or overseas?

Yes, only due to costs in the implementation of your license. Contact us directly for estimated costs for single and multiple licenses for overseas.

Do you offer a guarantee for the assessment software?

Yes, we will replace our software at no additional cost for the life of your site license should it be found to be defective. We will also provide automatic updates and enhancements with a renewal site license.

Should I use a CD of the assessment or run it from a website?

Some coaches, due to the nature of their business, prefer to have both options. It is the same assessment although the results may have a slightly different layout and are saved differently. Coaches with a website presence find that it can be used to support their marketing better and also permits their clients to take the assessment as time allows, at their own convenience.

With a single site license, I own several computers onto which I will need to install this software. What's involved? How much does it cost for a second copy?

Our assessment is sold as single-user software that is loaded to the desktop and may not be copied or shared with other individuals. Your single site license registration covers only one computer. As a single-site user you may purchase the open registration for additional computers for a flat $29 fee. Note: Sharing this with additional users causes a licensing sharing violation. The Career Coach does not authorize, endorse or support the use of this tool without the purchase of a site license and will prosecute any users exploiting its use.

Can I upgrade to a career center license when the time comes for additional coaches?

Yes, at any time. The cost will depend on the number of users and the implementation required to meet the expanding infrastructure of your business. If this is done within the first year of use, we will deduct the original cost of your license from your upgrade charges.


TECHNICAL SUPPORT & USER SUPPORT

What is the difference between technical and user support?

Technical Support relates to problems with the software. User Support relates to questions about the coaching system.

Technical Support: The CD and Online Versions of the Hemispheres Assessment

This product was created in CD form to run from a Desktop and will reload each time when you prompt the drive into which you have inserted it. The results are “dumped” onto the “C” DRIVE. If you have glitches with the software, it is likely that the software should be replaced.

The Online version of the assessment, if it is posted to your own website, will automatically be configured to your needs in the form of an Assessment Director, and give you the results via email. Should you wish to change the email address to receive the results, you will need to contact us.

The personal computer version (customized to your site needs) will allow you to add the file to your hard drive and run it from a link on your desktop or run it within a network.

User Support questions can be typically answered by reading the materials that you received with your site license. If you still have questions and are new to the system, user support will respond to your needs usually within 24 hours of your email request.

How do I get support for my single site license? Career Center or Multiple Sites?

Both Technical and User Support are free of charge for your initial set-up. Once you are up and running, you will have 6 hours of voice and unlimited email support per year. This should be more than adequate for your single site needs. Email us with any questions!

Career and Multiple Sites have dedicated and unlimited support. E-mail us with any technical or user questions. We can typically answer questions within one business day, available 8:30-4:30 EST Monday through Saturday.


TRAINING

Intro to the CoachCompass® System software is available without charge for download from our site. Should you wish to register for the complete paid virtual program addressing the entire use of the system, you can register online anytime after May, 2004. Additional certification in this system and classroom training is available to businesses who purchase site licenses. For more information, click here.

Do you offer training in the Hemispheres Assessment software?

Training for this software is not required. However, learning to use the results, the Starting Points scoring system requires a few hours. This learning opportunity is included briefly in the paid intro virtual course and thoroughly discussed in the classroom training offered through site license.

INSTALLING AND USING THE FREE INTRO TRAINING

Will this download hurt my computer?

No, the files here are downloaded to your desktop and do not reside in any major program files. You will need approx. 4.6 MB to load this FREE intro program.

I started the download and then had to stop, what do I do now?

If you have icons from the download on your desktop, delete them first and then reinstall the download.

There are strange icons on my desktop. What do I do with them?

You will have three icons: the zip file opener, the actual program file and the PDFs. The zip remains static once you open the file. The program file will launch the program. You will need Adobe Reader to view the PDF files. You can also view and print the PDF files without opening the intro program, if you choose.

The links and PDFs in the program don't work when I click on them. What should I do?

You should set your default browser to Internet Explorer and open your internet connection for the email or web links.

The training page looks offset on the screen. Why?

As each desktop is different, you can correct this by placing your mouse on the top bar of the screen and dragging to fit your desktop.

When I try to progress the pages using the NEXT button in the Intro program, it doesn't go.

We deliberately created this “pause” so that you would read the screen for understanding. Moving the mouse off of the button and back will correct it. Use your INDEX button, (upper left) to progress signficantly ahead.

I am done with the Intro Program, how do I get rid of the icons on the desktop?

Select each one and press the Delete key.


BEST VIEWING FOR THE VIRTUAL TRAINING SOFTWARE

Once you have downloaded the training to your desktop, open the Macromedia file (blue link).

If you experience problems viewing the full screen, select VIEW on the grey Macromedia Bar (top left). You will see the drop down box, select SHOW ALL. This should correct your viewing issues.

For ideal viewing, your desktop should be set to 1024 X 768. To check this go to Control Panel > Display > Settings and move the arrow for Desktop Area to 1024 x 768.
