London is by far the largest city in the UK and is one of the most highly-populated in the world. What marks London apart from almost every other city on the planet (with the obvious exception of New York) is the sheer cultural diversity of its residents. Walking down a street in Central London you are likely to hear dozens of languages during the course of a day. There are a number of fantastic upshots of this situation. Firstly, the cuisine in London is among the most varied on Earth. Secondly, the pool of potential language teachers is vast, particularly as London is famous for squeezing even the fattest wallets.

Everything is catered for - if you want a Spanish course London or Portuguese course London you will have no difficulty is finding a native-speaker teacher from either Europe or South America. London has large Spanish and Brazilian communities, meaning a large pool of potential teachers. If you cannot afford lessons in a school, it is worth keeping an eye on notice boards and bulletin boards for language exchanges, whereby you meet informally - often in a cafe - and exchange your knowledge of English for tuition in a new language. This is equally possible as an alternative to an official Arabic course London or any other language.

Mandarin and Japanese are increasingly popular languages with UK learners. A Mandarin course London will probably be taught by a native-speaking Chinese person living in the city while a Japanese course London is similar, but with a Japanese teacher. There is a huge Chinese community in London, originally focussed around the Chinatown area of the West End but now spread across the city. A large number of the Japanese courses studied in London are business Japanese courses as the country represents an important trading partner for the UK.

Two popular options as regards learning European languages are an Italian course London and a German course London. Italian is one of the group of Romance language, which also includes Spanish, Portuguese, French and Romanian. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful languages and is often called the language of passion. German, on the other hand, is not so commonly viewed as a beautiful language but is very diverse and shares roots with English.

A huge range of options are available to language learners in London.
